Today, Longsys Electronics announced that its consumer brand Lexar has joined hands with Yangtze Memory to release the world’s smallest memory card nCard.
nCard is the NM card that Huawei has promoted since Mate 20, that is, the size is the same as the NanoSIM card, which can be placed in the SIM card slot of Huawei mobile phones to achieve storage expansion.
This new nCard product is the first to apply the 64-layer 3D NAND of YMTC’s Xtacking technology. The product has passed performance and quality tests and is ready for mass production.
According to Cai Huabo, chairman of Longsys, he believes that the memory card can achieve mass production of 1TB in the first half of next year (based on the 128-layer QLC of Yangtze Memory), and bring more possibilities in terms of size, read and write speed, and security.
After investigation, the currently available nCards are available in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB, with a starting price of 199 yuan, a nominal read speed of 90MB/s, and a write speed of 70MB/s. They are compatible with Huawei’s new P40, Mate30, Mate20, P30, MateXs, Nova, Honor 30, Imagine 10s, MatePad and other products.
